Eva has been working in the Child and Youth Care field since 1998 in various settings throughout Edmonton and neighbouring municipalities across Sturgeon County. Youth Shelters, Youth Centres, Treatment Facilities, Family Support, Schools, Municipal Programs, Group Homes…just to name a few. In the 25 years working alongside children and youth, she had come across every demographic you could imagine. She has seen and felt the struggles that many youth face, especially Indigenous and 2SLGBTQIAP+ children and youth. She has a deep compassion for youth that will always be a part of her as she strives to make the world a better place for all. Eva also has a strong understanding of being a Board Member and has Chaired and Co-Chaired many boards specific to Children and Youth and also Community based Boards. She is also an Event Coordinator and at times gets to bring both worlds together having fun and creating fun experiences. Practicing Mindfulness in nature and binging Netflix shows is what she does in her down time.
