PFLAG St. Albert is our local chapter of PFLAG Canada, the national charitable organization founded by parents who wished to help themselves and their family members understand and accept their 2SLGBTQIAP+ children.
The “coming out process” is a critical time for families and can be difficult to navigate without experience. PFLAG offers an opportunity for parents and guardians to come together to share their experiences, ask questions, and explore feelings in a safe non-judgmental space under the facilitation of Outloud staff.
PFLAG runs the second Tuesday of each month from 7-9pm at the Outloud space.
There is no charge for the program but donations are appreciated.
We will be diligent in watching to ensure our Safer Space Policy is followed by everyone in our space and any breaches of this policy will be addressed immediately.
We will listen to the voices of the community we serve and ensure that our policies and spaces are inclusive and welcoming to all members of the community.
We will believe anyone who reports a violation of the Safer Space Policy and will investigate all reports.
We will offer outside resources to anyone feeling the Safer Space Policy was violated and needing further support. We will also offer education to individuals that struggle with this policy.
We will consistently re-evaluate our space and resources to ensure we have the most up-to-date and inclusive information and will be ready to take feedback.
